ASO FOR
HEALTH APPS.

“Manage your health” says almost nothing. A strong listing names the task, shows the input and next action, explains access, and keeps every medical and data boundary visible.

Map the health category before choosing a keyword.

Health is a commercial category, not one search intent. These ten product families need different metadata, screenshots, policies and activation events. Build one primary acquisition story for the shipped product; do not stuff every health job into one title.

Who chooses a health app—and what must they understand?

These are product-audience hypotheses, not demographic shares. Health tasks vary by care relationship, health literacy, urgency, device, accessibility, insurance, locale and privacy expectation. Research those constraints directly; never infer a diagnosis, disability, pregnancy status, income or insurance status from a keyword alone.

HEALTH APP ASO

Build task clusters—not one giant health keyword list.

These 100 phrases are candidates, not volume, demand, competition or opportunity claims. Each row records the feature needed to support the phrase, market, source date and next decision. Health terms can imply diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, privacy or professional care, so product and policy review comes before prioritization.

Eight competitors—and eight different health jobs.

Eight current iOS identities and matching Google Play apps were verified on 27 October 2026. The set is deliberately cross-category: portals, booking, virtual care, medication, symptom assessment, reproductive health, connected data and reference tools. It compares publisher-controlled positioning—not app quality, medical effectiveness, privacy performance, popularity or business results.

Apple says medical apps that could provide inaccurate data or support diagnosis or treatment may receive greater scrutiny; health-measurement accuracy claims need supporting data and methodology, and users should be reminded to consult a doctor before medical decisions. Google Play requires an accurate Health Apps declaration, a privacy policy and compliance with its health-content rules.

Plan with iOS app name, subtitle, keyword field, Google Play title and short description. Recheck Apple product pages, Product Page Optimization, custom product pages, App Review Guidelines, Google Play fields, custom listings, experiments, the Health Apps declaration and Health Content and Services policy before release.

HEALTH APP ASO

Five real screenshot sets, read as health-task arguments.

All 20 panels were opened at readable size. The notes describe visible copy and interfaces. Ratings, awards, user counts, cost, coverage, availability, medical and outcome claims inside source artwork remain publisher claims and are not repeated here as independently verified facts.

MyChart: A broad portal story starts with one-place convenience

Original artwork from the MyChart US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first panel shows a dashboard for appointments, bills, video visits, medications, results and messages beside a publisher-controlled user-count claim. The next panels show scheduling, urgent-care discovery and a family video visit. The sequence communicates breadth, but not the provider-account requirement until outside the artwork.

What I would test: Lead with the task and access condition: find your organization, sign in, then show one high-frequency flow such as result to message to next appointment. The outcome is unknown until tested.

Zocdoc: The clearest inspected sequence follows one booking job

Original artwork from the Zocdoc US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first panel names local doctors and insurance. Frames two through four show browse, verified reviews and appointment booking. Each frame has a different job and visible product evidence.

What I would test: Create specialty- or insurance-intent pages that keep the same find, compare and book sequence while verifying provider, availability and coverage details at the decision point. The outcome is unknown until tested.

Teladoc Health: Coverage and care breadth compete in the opening

Original artwork from the Teladoc Health US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first panel combines insurer coverage, a starting-price claim and general health tracking. The next panels move through video care, primary and 24/7 care, and mental-health routes. The product is broad enough that one default page cannot prove every job equally.

What I would test: Split custom pages by care job and show eligibility, likely cost conditions, professional role, hours and the actual first action before broad platform breadth. The outcome is unknown until tested.

Medisafe: The workflow is visible, but the opening promise is absolute

Original artwork from the Medisafe US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The sequence shows a dose card, an adherence report, interaction information and medicine education. The phrase Never Forget A Med Again goes beyond what a reminder product can guarantee.

What I would test: Replace the absolute outcome with See your next dose and show reminder, Take or Skip, correction and caregiver-notification states in order. The outcome is unknown until tested.

Ada: The assessment workflow is clearer than its broad first promise

Original artwork from the Ada US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The panels move from Take care of yourself to entering symptoms, answering questions and reviewing an assessment report. The workflow is unusually coherent, while the non-diagnosis and urgent-care limits are small inside the final report screen.

What I would test: Name the product as an informational health assessment in frame one and bring the not-a-diagnosis and urgent-help boundary forward before the report. The outcome is unknown until tested.

CareMap is fictional. The example assumes provider-connected records, current care discovery, medication schedules, non-diagnostic symptom tracking, precise access rules and real data controls. Concept review: The task router makes four product jobs easy to scan, but it invents provider-connected records, care discovery, medication management and symptom tracking inside one app. The trust screen makes capability, non-diagnosis, data controls and urgent guidance visible, but every statement remains hypothetical.

Before production: Rebuild in the real design system; verify every provider connection, care route, medication function, data source, market, professional role, privacy control and emergency path; then test one documented hypothesis.
