ASO FOR
SLEEP TRACKING APPS.

A sleep score is not the product story. Show how the night was measured, what is missing, what the estimate means and the one next action a person can actually take.

Map the sleep-tracking job before collecting keywords.

Sleep tracking overlaps alarms, wearables, snoring, coaching and health. Pick the primary acquisition job before choosing metadata. This page is about measuring and reviewing sleep; relaxation audio belongs in the sleep-meditation guide.

Apple says medical apps whose inaccurate data could cause harm receive greater scrutiny, and health-measurement accuracy claims need supporting data and methodology. Google Play requires an accurate Health Apps declaration, privacy information and compliance with its health-content rules. Health Connect integrations add another compatibility and permission story; they do not prove measurement quality.

SLEEP TRACKING ASO

Five real screenshot sets, read as source-to-action stories.

All 20 panels were opened at readable size. The notes describe visible copy and interfaces. Awards, reviews, user counts, accuracy language, scores, improvement claims and health outcomes inside source artwork remain publisher claims and are not repeated as independently verified facts.

Sleep Cycle: The opening names three jobs before proving the setup

Original artwork from the Sleep Cycle US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: Frame one promises decoding, monitoring and a smart alarm. The next frames show a score, duration, stages and an AI-coach message. The product evidence is polished, but phone placement, recording source and missing-data behavior are not visible in these four panels.

What I would test: Test a source-first opening: phone on nightstand, recording state, complete-night indicator, then the morning estimate and one action. The result is unknown until tested.

SleepWatch: The sequence is comprehensive—and crowded

Original artwork from the SleepWatch US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first frame lists tracking, sounds, snoring, noise, coaching and alarms. Later frames show phone and watch views, sound playback and a smart alarm. Much of the copy is small, and publisher review or improvement claims compete with the workflow.

What I would test: Split phone and watch intent into separate product pages. Use one large message per frame: source, complete night, sound review and alarm setup. The result is unknown until tested.

SleepScore: Phone-only tracking is a useful differentiator but arrives late

Original artwork from the SleepScore US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: Two opening frames rely on an award message and editorial content. Frame three finally shows the Start Tracking screen and says the smartphone is enough; frame four shows a weekly score pattern. Device support and the meaning of accurate are not explained in the artwork.

What I would test: Lead with no wearable required, the exact supported-phone and placement requirements, then show completeness, estimate and correction before any trend. The result is unknown until tested.

ShutEye: Scores, audio and stage patterns compete for the same first story

Original artwork from the ShutEye US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first four panels move from a score and stages to a publisher popularity claim, snoring and sleep-talk recordings, then a deep-sleep pattern. Each is a different reason to install, so the measurement source and next action remain unclear.

What I would test: Choose one route per page. For audio intent, show permission, recording, playback, retention and deletion. For tracking intent, show source, estimate and one routine test. The result is unknown until tested.

Oura: The broader health story delays the sleep-specific proof

Original artwork from the Oura US App Store listing, captured 27 October 2026. Select a panel to enlarge it.

What the sequence shows: The first frames present readiness, vitals and long-term health before the fourth shows sleep duration, stages and movement. The interface is clear, but the required ring and interpretation boundary are not foregrounded in this sequence.

What I would test: For sleep-intent traffic, show the ring requirement, overnight wear and sync state first; follow with the sleep view and one supported next step. The result is unknown until tested.

NightTrace is fictional. This example assumes verified phone and wearable capture, editable nights, a real smart alarm, audio controls and a non-diagnostic morning review. No campaign or spend is authorized. Keep exact, broad and Search Match discovery separate. Add negatives for diagnose, cure, treatment, apnea, insomnia, medical device, EEG, polysomnography, oxygen monitor, baby monitor and unsupported watch or ring brands unless the exact product, evidence and policy support them. Concept review: The source concept makes phone, watch and manual inputs visible and includes a non-diagnosis line, but it invents source switching, sync behavior and an audio-method explanation. The next-step concept avoids a celebratory score, but it invents data completeness, a five-night pattern and a wind-down recommendation.

Before production: Rebuild both in the real design system; verify device support, data-source labels, calculation method, missing-data logic, routine recommendation, alarm behavior, retention, export, deletion, medical boundary and every locale. Then test one documented hypothesis.
