This video is a quick review of keywords in general and of course, how it is used in the app stores and for ASO.
Keywords are the words we use and type on a search bar – be it Google, Spotify, Youtube even Tripadvisor if we are trying to find something.
The same goes for the App store as well.
Our goal is to come up with long-tail keywords, or a combination of two or more keywords (that makes sense), which users can be typing to try to find your app or similar apps.
This is also the case in Google and SEO, though the long-tail keywords are longer and more detailed, while in the App Store, they run shorter. This is because Google searches tend to be hyper-specific, while App Store searches are broader and general.
Keywords are critical, and so we need to do our research, so we have an idea of what people are looking for, what words they use when searching for it, as well as discovering which words are more popular and used more than others.
Keyword Research is the lifeblood and core of ASO.
