In the previous video, I introduced a new ASO term – the visibility or ASO score.
The Visibility Score is a score given to us by ASO tools to show us where we are, and where we rank in the entire ASO galaxy. It shows us how much potential traffic we can and are currently achieving, similar to a fitness score.
The Visibility score allows you to understand if you have enough capacity to be ranking for x amount of keywords.
If you’re ranking for a lot of long term keywords, for example, or your app has more languages and combinations, your visibility score will be higher. ASO tools also know what keyword you’re ranking for even before you use it. This is part of their data, and it would be worth it to try to use ASO tools to analyse our own App’s performance as well.
We need some form of reference or scoring system for us to understand
So take a look at your app’s visibility score, and it will help you figure out if what you are doing is right or wrong.
The goal is to improve our visibility score with every update as well as expanding the range of long-tail keywords we are aiming for, widening the net for the keywords we can use and hopefully gain organic traffic as well.
