Reviews are VITAL in getting your app to rank higher in the App Store.
You need to actively engage with your users and ask them for reviews, preferably without using software, fake reviews or annoying push notifications.
This is easier said than done. Users are generally lazy and don’t want to make the extra effort to leave a positive review.
Mobilise your team to think of out of the box ways to get user reviews.
You want positive reviews, so best to catch them when they are not stressed or upset.
Be proactive and think ahead and ask what we can do next week, next month and next update to increase reviews?
Ask the following questions:
What am I doing to get reviews?
How many do I need? Set some KPIs.
What can I do to get more reviews?
How can I get more reviews than our competitors?
I recommend you spend some time working on this.
Remember, you can have an excellent app and impeccable ASO, but if you don’t have reviews, it won’t matter
Not having an App review strategy is ASO mistake #7.
Many app companies spend millions developing apps but do not have a review strategy. It is a forgotten or neglected ASO mandatory.
You need to make an effort to get regular, positive and organic reviews for your app because reviews help you rank higher in the App Store.
