So, you’re done with ASO, and you’ve finally gotten Apple or Google PlayStore to accept your app into the App Store. Congratulations! Unfortunately, it’s not the end of the line there. Most clients I know think that ASO alone can do the trick – this is a big NO NO. (This is the main reason why some of you guys are getting poor results – 10 to 15 downloads a day)
Actually, upon App Store’s approval, it’s just a new beginning. It’s the time where the real hard work begins since you need to strive for downloads, more positive ratings, and ROI. So what to do? Think of the App Store as just the first place to market your app. It’s a strategically smart goal to go beyond the App Store in improving your app’s visibility. You should also incorporate other marketing elements in your push to reach beyond the App Store to get views, downloads, and purchases of your app. Remember, more traffic to your product page means a higher ranking in the store, so use other tactics for greater traffic: Maybe you can try paid search, or link building through press coverage and reviews, or try promoting your app to various, influential blogs and social media. There are many other things that you can do. You know, ASO is something that you have to constantly work on – it’s a continuous process. Remember to keep monitoring your app also and regularly tweak it over a length of time to keep it optimized. You also need to be especially watchful of your own app’s ranking and those of your competitors’. You need to check if you’re losing ground against your competitors and if they’re suddenly overtaking you in the store rankings. Remember that these people, too, will be tweaking their ASO regularly over time, so you can never rest on your laurels. There are so many things to learn, and I know that I can be a big help in making your app rise to the top of the rankings, just let me know or visit my blog.
